{TASTING NOTES}

2006 was a good year for the Willamette Valley, especially for the  2006 vintage of Left Coast's Cali's Cuvee Pinot Noir. Bursting with rich flavors of blackberry jam, raspberry and dark cherry, this complex wine is well-balanced and velvety smooth on the palate...wonderful! It may have been the delish food pairing or atmosphere of the restaurant, or simply the Pinot itself, but finally I have come across a Pinot that reminds me of some red Burgundies (in a $40-50 price range) that I had during my studies in Burgundy, France!

{Dinner via Jacksonville Inn, Oregon}

My family and I spent this past weekend in Oregon for my cousin's wedding. It was fun spending time with the whole fam and I especially liked exploring the funky, hip town of Ashland during our visit. We even went to a beautiful dinner at Jacksonville Inn, located in the center of the charming town of Jacksonville, Oregon. The restaurant is known for both its awesome menu and extensive wine list. We selected a local wine from the famous wine-making region of Oregon, the Willamette Valley.

{Chocolate Mousse with Oreo crust dessert--delicious!}

Cheers,
